Business Support Officer & Community Engagement Lead
Lorraine Lawrence
Lorraine Vincent earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management at Manchester Metropolitan University and spent 4 years working as a Reception Manager at a 4 Star city centre hotel in Manchester, after which she moved to London to work as a PA for a Chartered Surveyors practice for 7 years.
After returning to Manchester, she was employed at the Manchester Foundation Trust, and worked as a PA to the Associate Director of Community and Inclusion and the Deputy Group Director of Workforce & Organisational Development.
Lorraine has over 15 years of corporate experience in business support. Lorraine’s experience and varied skill sets has led her to many opportunities to participate in a myriad of projects supporting high level executives, and high net worth individuals.
In her spare time, she volunteered as a Teaching Assistant at Real Action charity based in West London, which is renowned for their projects, providing fast acting, effective courses of basic education especially in literacy for children from underprivileged communities.
Lorraine is also a Cancer Champion which is a growing movement of people who live and work in Greater Manchester. A Cancer Champion aims to raise awareness of cancer screening and the importance of early detection, by sharing knowledge within communities.
Communications & Events Officer
Elizabeth Alogba
Elizabeth graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with her BSc in Film, TV and Cultural Studies. With a genuine passion for communications and events she furthered her career by studying her current MSc course in Public Relations at Manchester Metropolitan University. Other than academics, Elizabeth is also a member of the Communications team at The Arizon Network, which is a community of young African professionals in Manchester who are passionate about the areas of career, networking and social while celebrating each other to success. Her experience has allowed her to create meaningful events bringing people together from all cultures and backgrounds to network and share their different stories. Elizabeth’s previous experience in PR and social media projects, led her to CAHN and developed her interest for forming a better online presence for the African Caribbean community.
We are looking forward to working with her in the future, creating more events and social campaigns improving CAHN’s online presence.
Churches Liaison Officer & Project Support Officer
Emmanuel
Emmanuel is the lead Minister of World Harvest Christian Centre Manchester branch. He is actively involved in several community projects within the black community. He has successful spearheaded campaigns in the areas of employment such as the ‘Back to work’ program, youthwork (Clayton Youth Club). He has also helped establish a supplementary school that runs every Saturday to help educationally disadvantaged black children in high school within our local community.
Emmanuel’s educational background is in Production and Project Management Technology. Emmanuel has 7years experience in banking operations before joining the religious and voluntary sector. Emmanuel has joined the CAHN family as a project worker to help drive its community projects and campaigns.
Counselling Services Manager
Rosalyn Magowan
Rosalyn Magowan is a Registered member of the British Association (BACP), for Counselling and Psychotherapist, and has been Psychotherapist/Counsellor for the past sixteen years. Rosalyn Holds a BSC Hons / Dip, in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her given area of Modality is Person Centred, CBT, Integrative therapy, and faith base therapy. As a private Practitioner, she has successfully worked with individuals, Couples, and families, across all diverse backgrounds. Her area of specialism includes: Bereavement counselling, identity issues, Palliative care, Homicide, Trauma, Domestic abuse, common life problems, common mental health problems and some complex mental health challenges, couples, and family counselling.
As CAHN’s Project Coordinator, her commitment to support and facilitate “Black Single Mothers “within the community has engaged women from a broad cultural mix, identifying their needs and development. Rosalyn’s Passion is to help others to help themselves, giving others hope to become more aware of themselves and what they can achieve is evident her delivery. Her leadership within the community is one of motivation also, this comes through in her passion as a Core Tutor, in the delivery of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Locality Engagement Lead. Wigan
Bunmi Iyere
Bunmi Iyere has versatile experiences spanning over 25 years in the charity sector having worked in Africa and the United Kingdom, managing teams to deliver to funding requirements and building excellent understanding of non-governmental organizations work culture. She has expertise in community development and capacity building of community-based organizations, providing advice, trainings, and practical resources to develop a solid internal structure. She has had the opportunity to work with UNICEF, USAID and the European Union Micro Project Programme.
Since living in the United Kingdom Bunmi has grown her experiences and attains qualifications as a practitioner in mental Health and has worked extensively with young people.
She holds a Master of Science in Positive Approaches to Challenging behaviours from Cardiff University, Wales and both a Master and Bachelor of Education degrees from Universities of Lagos and Ibadan in Nigeria. Including trainings in project Management.
As the Locality Engagement Lead for CAHN Wigan she hope to provide leadership and support to People of Caribbean and African Heritage in Wigan to build a collective response, engage with local services and a more proactive role in local community issues.

Sandy
Sandy Koujou is a Certified Translator (French, English, Spanish) and owner of a language service company – LinguaXpert LTD & Services. Bridging language barriers has always been her passion. With nearly 15 years of experience, here is a non-exhaustive list of my areas of specialisation: Nuclear services, Engineering, Mechanical Automation, Psychotherapy, Cardiology, Oncology, Radiology and most NHS services. As well as being a public speaker, she is also a community activist working together with communities in Greater Manchester to create positive change and advocate for better social policies.
IT and Programmes Manager
Jody Kay Bradley
Jody-Kay Bradley is a competent, highly experienced and qualified Information Technology professional. She has over 8 years’ ICT support industry experience and is adept at combining management, customer service and technical support skills and experience to rapidly diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve client’s IT issues.Besides IT Support, Jody-Kay Bradley can also be credited with contributions to ITSoftware consultancy,negotiation, procurement,design/development of websites, IT systems implementation and user training. She is also an avid researcher and policy writer.
Jody-kay recently obtained a master’s degree inInformation Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) from the University of Manchester, UKas she explored her passion to learn about and use ICTs as a tool to leverage sustainable development for communities and countries. Prior to studying this degree, Jody-kay Bradley received a master’s degree in Development studies from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica.
Jody-Kay also holds qualifications in Project Management, ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management. She has also completed training on introducing Information Systems in organisations. Jody-Kay joined CAHN in 2020 as a volunteer and a few monthslater appointed as IT Support Officer. She is committed to supporting the digital transformationof this organisation which falls directly in line with her prior experience, qualifications and passion touse technology to deliver efficient and effective services and to improve the lives of vulnerable people.

Daniel Boamah
Daniel is a Business Management Consultant with a wealth of knowledge in different businesses in the last 10 years. He has great interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and strategic planning ability. He is an alumnus of University of Manchester with master’s degree Management and Information System.
He has a current part time role as Team Coordinator of Manchester City Centre Street Pastors. Previous roles include fundraising, charities manager and shop manager.
Daniel is a Minister of Religion in a local church in central Manchester and serves on the board of Trustee. He is husband and a father of three and loves God and people.
Head of Health & Wellbeing
Karen Hutchinson
Karen is a professionally qualified and highly experienced individual spanning nearly 40 years in health care. She is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and a Registered General Nurse, as well as a Master in Science in Mental Health achieved at Kings College, London and a certificate in Management too.
Karen is a creative, enthusiastic and innovative leader with a proven track record of achievement in implementing change successfully. She is a strategic thinker with effective management leadership skills and an excellent communicator with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships at all levels. She prides herself at being able to work creatively within a team, and also being self-motivated and action orientated.
She is has experience in working in a variety of clinical areas and an advocate for multidisciplinary, multi-agency approaches to patient care, service promotion, health promotion and workforce development.
Karen is excited to be working within CAHN and working alongside the community in addressing the health inequalities within the Black and Minority Ethic Community.

Zaid Habtemariam
Zaid joined CAHN in January 2021 after working as a volunteer for several months. She has worked for Emirates airline for 11 years and excelled in different roles within the company. Zaid has also worked for the United Nations for 5 years in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She has a broad knowledge and expertise in Operations, Facilities and Project Management. Zaid has a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Marketing and Modern Languages from University of Salford and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is an articulate communicator in 5 different languages (French, Spanish, Tigrinya and Amharic). Zaid is thrilled to be joining the team and working alongside CAHN in its vision to actively address the social and economic determinants of health inequalities in the Caribbean and African Community.
